Image editor fonts

The image editor's text tool draws its font list from the same customFonts option as the rest of the editor. Fonts configured there appear in the font picker when adding or editing text on an image.

Configuration

The image editor receives whatever is set in customFonts, so no separate configuration is needed:

ts
const TOPOL_OPTIONS = {
  // ... other options ...
  customFonts: {
    override: false, // If true, it replaces default fonts. If false, it appends.
    fonts: [
      {
        label: "Mukta",
        style: "Mukta, sans-serif",
        url: "https://fonts.googleapis.com/css2?family=Mukta:wght@400;700",
      },
    ],
  },
};

Full details on the shape of each font entry are in Custom Fonts.

Default fonts

Without customFonts, the picker shows the image editor's own bundled font list. Setting override: false appends to that list, while override: true replaces it.

INFO

customFonts is shared with the email editor's font dropdown, so a font added for one appears in both.

Disable the Image Editor

Setting imageEditor: false removes the built-in Image Editor from the editor. The Edit and Create new image buttons disappear from the image settings, and Create new image disappears from the built-in File Manager.

ts
const TOPOL_OPTIONS = {
  // ... other options ...
  imageEditor: false,
};

An image saved from the Image Editor is uploaded by the editor itself - to TOPOL storage, or to your API.IMAGE_UPLOAD endpoint when Self-hosted Storage is configured. Disable the Image Editor when every image must stay in your own storage. The option defaults to true.
